From the Little London collection: ‘Celebrate the Big Smoke' with a little piece of art’.
The National Theatre on London's South Bank is one of Michael's favourite artistic muses. Every time he sees it he notices new angles and shapes. The simple Brutalist block shapes lend themselves to his style of art. This view being one of his favourite angles – it almost seems to be 3-D here, poking out of the piece.
The image is created from an original photograph and printed onto a small piece of brushed aluminium. The metal brings out the vivid colour of the sky contrasting beautifully with the stark grey concrete. It is floated in a hand-painted wood box frame.
